The second house on the property is currently used
as an office with available DSL. It is a one story brick ranch with a full basement
(partially finished), a two car garage (with electric door opener) and
two large patios (each 588 sq feet), one of which is covered. There is
also a covered front porch, which looks out on the expansive front lawn.
This house is approximately 1700 sq feet. It has 3
bedrooms, and 2 full baths. There is a kitchen, dining room, living
room and laundry room. The house is situated in a park like setting
among mature elms and maples, and is completely landscaped. There’s
also a great view of the neighboring fields. It is sited about 800 feet
back from the road for complete privacy. People who first visit tell us
they didn’t know there was a house back there.
This house was built in 1970 of quality material.
The entire roof was replaced in 2000, with a ridge vent installed for
more efficient passive ventilation. All the original windows were
replaced with double pane, low-e, argon filled casement windows. The
entire house has new wall to wall carpet. Countertops and faucets in
kitchen and bath have been replaced. Kitchen, laundry and bathrooms
have new flooring.
The house has two fireplaces, one large cut stone
one in the living room, and one of brick in the finished room in the
basement. There is forced air heat and a/c, with an electronic air
filtration system. Electric service is 200 amps. To increase the
energy efficiency of the house additional cellulose insulation was added
to the attic to bring it up to R-42.
The exterior has all aluminum gutters and leaders.
All fascia, soffits and non-brick surfaces were replaced with vinyl and
aluminum in 2002. There is county water service and a septic system.
This is an all electric house with an average monthly bill of $95.00,
which includes: HVAC, hot water, lighting, appliances and computer
equipment.
